Why YSRCPs giant killers are unhappy?

Has AP Chief Minister and YSRCP supremo YS Jagan Mohan Reddy inadvertently opened a can of worms? Has his attempt to breathe new life into the government by inducting new faces created more problems than it solved? Has this led to deeper dissatisfaction among those who failed to get the minister's posts?

YSRCP watchers say that though currently silent, many of those who have been dropped or denied a place in the cabinet are reportedly seething with rage. Jagan has promised ministerial berths to three giant killers - Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, who defeated Nara Lokesh in Mangalagiri, Grandhi Srinivas, who trounced Pawan Kalyan in Bhimavaram and Tippala Nagireddy, who defeated Pawan Kalyan in Gajuwaka. But none of them were made ministers.

Though Alla Ramakrishna Reddy said that he was happy that he has some place in Jagan's mind and did not care whether he was made a minister or not, the other two - Grandhi Srinivas and Tippala Nagireddy - remained totally silent.

Ditto with senior leader Marri Rajasekhar of Chilakaluripeta. He was promised a place in the ministry for helping Vidudala Rajini to win over the then minister Prattipati Pulla Rao in the 2019 elections. But, now Vidadala Rajini has been made and Marri Rajasekhar's claims have been completely ignored. His supporters are seething with rage.

In Nellore, both Anil Kumar Yadav and Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy have kept away from Kakani Govardhan Reddy, who has been made a minister. They have begun an undeclared non-cooperation with Reddy. There are reports that both Anil and Kotamreddy have met secretly in Nellore to decide future course of action. On the whole, a Pandora's Box has been opened in AP.
