Wife files Domestic Violence case against MLA

Former Delhi Law Minister Somnath Bharti landed in trouble after his wife lodged a domestic violence complaint against him accusing him of physical and mental torture.
Lipika Bharti complained to Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) stating her husband Somnath Bharti has been has physically assaulting her since 2010. She demands separation and wishes to live with dignity. She even revealed Somnath Bharti has threatened to kill her.
Surprisingly, Somnath Bharti claims he was shocked with the allegations made against him by his wife. He suspected this could a conspiracy and there is someone behind his wife.
Somnath Bharti is currently representing Malviya Nagar assembly segment as an MLA. He served as Law Minister in the 49-day Kejriwal's government formed in 2014.
