Will Bhatti Vikramarka join TRS?
By: Tupaki Desk | 28 Jun 2021 3:34 AM GMTIs Telangana's Congress Legislature Party chief Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka planning to join the TRS? Is he taking this step to show his displeasure at Revanth Reddy being made the Pradesh Congress Committee chief? Is he unhappy with a relatively junior leader who has joined the Congress only recently being given the TPCC's top post?
It appears so. Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, who has only days ago slammed KCR as anti-Dalit and met him on the issue of Dalit woman Mariyamma's custodial death, has praised KCR's Dalit conclave. He said such meetings with Dalits leaders of all parties and the decisions that followed have helped to create confidence among the Dalits. These statements, coming as they are from a Dalit icon like Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, who had slammed KCR all these days as being anti-Dalit, are considered quite significant. Sources say that he is unhappy with Revanth's elevation and might resign from the Congress to join the TRS.
Interestingly, Mallu's brother Mallu Ravi has been made one of the vice-presidents of the party. He has been staunchly supporting the AICC decision to appoint Revanth Reddy as the Telagana PCC chief. It seems both the brothers would be on the opposite ends of the political spectrum in future.
