Will BJP be able to wipe off its pro-Jagan image?
By: Tupaki Desk | 28 Dec 2021 8:01 PM ISTIs the baton in the AP BJP passing to the pro-TDP section from the pro-YSRCP group? Is the agenda of the party too likely to change with the change of guard? Will the BJP now attack the YSRCP more stridently and more pointedly? Will issues like three-capitals, Amaravati, OTS, attacks of temples and film ticket fares come to the fore now?
The AP BJP is organizing a massive public meeting on December 28 in Vijayawada. The meeting has been decided by the 13-member core committee of the party. The committee is dominated by people who are staunchly opposed to YS Jagan Mohan Redy. So, party insiders predict that there would be an anti-Jagan tilt in the prty.
Till now, only Somu Veerraju and Vishnuvardhan Reddy had decided the party's agenda. They were decidedly pro-YS Jagan in their approach. But, recently, Amit Shah chided the party leaders for adopting a pro-Jagan approach. He told them to grab the anti-Jagan sections by adopting an anti-Jagan approach. Otherwise, these votes will fall into the kitty of the TDP, he said. Since then, there has been a definite anti-YSRCP tilt in the party.
Will this work out for the BJP? Will it be able to wipe off the perception of the BJP being pro-YSRCP.? Let's wait and see how things unfold.
