Will Book Cases On Social Media: Telangana CEO

Telangana Chief Electoral Officer Rajath Kumar responded seriously over the baseless rumours on Social Media about the polling percentage. 'It's near impossible to get accurate polling percentage on the polling day itself. So, We report to the Chief Election Commission about the estimated polling percentage. Final Polling Percentage will be calculated by removing the NOTA Votes. 17A, 17C Copies will be offered to every polling agent. Returning Officer will take the signatures of agents after the polling. Thereafter, EVMs, 17A and 17C Copies will be sealed and stored in the strong rooms. We will book cases on the misleading reports circulated on social media with political motive,' he said.
Rajat Kumar informed there are four kinds of EVMs and only A Category EVMs will be used for Polling. He added, 'EVMs which failed during the mock polling will be considered as C Category EVMs and shifted to Collectorates. Those EVMs which were shifted in Jagtyal have been used for training purpose'.
Responding on the controversy over TRS Candidate taking photograph in Kesara Strong Room, CEO clarified: 'Representatives of all the parties will be present when EVMs are placed in the strong room. On that occasion, He took the photograph'.
