Will CJI Withdraw SC's Remarks on Nupur Sharma At Least Now?

The unrest in India after Nupur Sharma commented on Prophet needs no introduction. After shocking the whole nation, the controversy hit the Arab nations and they slammed India on the issue. As a result, Nupur Sharma was sacked as the official spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
She recently suffered a big shack after a Supreme Court judge slammed Nupur Sharma and blamed her for what is going on in the country. The justice said that Nupur Sharma is single-handedly responsible for the ongoing unrest.
Post the remarks, Nupur Sharma found massive support from the Right-wing and the netizens. Many said that Justice had declared her guilty without the completion of the hearing. Support for Nupur Sharma is getting bigger and bigger.
A few retired judges, bureaucrats, and armed forces who are not happy with the remarks made by Supreme Court Justices Surya Kant and JB Pardiwala had written to the serving Chief Justice of India NV Ramana.
The open letter says that the remarks made by the two-judge bench hold Nupur Sharma responsible for the issue and also says that the court had crossed its limits when making the observations and they had no option but to write the latter.
"we, as concerned citizens, do believe that democracy of any country will remain till all the institutions perform their duties as per the constitution. Recent comments by the two judges of the Hon'ble Supreme Court have surpassed the Laxman Rekha and compelled us to issue an open statement," the letter reads.
Just like Nupur Sharma, former judges, bureaucrats, and armed forces also sought directives from the Chief Justice of India to withdraw the remarks made by the judges. Now the ball is in CJI's court.
A point here is that Nupur Sharma made those comments when a Muslim person made fun of Lord Shiva taking reference to the Gynvapi masjid. In a reply, she said, she can make fun of his religion and mention about Prophet's marriage to a younger girl. While everyone talks about Nupur Sharma's comments, many miss the point. With SC blaming Nupur Sharma, everyone started attacking her with the remarks.
