Will Congress Stop In-Fighting In Haryana, Jharkhand?
By: Tupaki Desk | 17 Aug 2019 5:45 AM GMTThings don't seem to be working the Congress Party's way anymore. After a severe drubbing in the elections, the party is in total disarray. Though Sonia Gandhi is at the helm of the affairs albeit temporarily, she is unable to get the act together.
In Haryana, which is soon going to polls, there is utter confusion. Former CB Bhupinder Hooda wants PCC chief post for either himself or for his son Dipinder Hooda. If his demands are not met, he is planning to form a separate regional party. This only means that the fight against the BJP will be further weakened. Similarly in Jharkhand, there are problems with Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. In the last lok Sabha elections, the Congress had formed an alliance with the party. But, now a strong section of the Congress does not want any truck with JMM. They want the Congress to go it alone. Due to this there is deep infighting within the Congress Party. Unable to take it any longer, Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee chief Ajoy Kumar has resigned from his post.
Even Jharkhand is poll-bound. But, the Congress seem to be utterly unprepared for elections in the state. If the Congress fails to put up a decent show, it would be completely decimated in these states and the BJP will have a literal walkover.
