He is a pinch hitter known for his aggression. As India's opener, he has stunned the best of the bowlers with his numbing attacks. Will Gautham Gambhir, India's ace batsman, repeat the success and hit his rivals for a six in politics too?
If the national media reports are any indication, Gautham has a tough fight on hands, but will ultimately score in the death overs. Gauty is fighting both Aam Admi Party and the Congress in Delhi. Sources say AAP candidate Atishi Marlena is no pushover. So, the real fight is between Atishi and Gauty. The Congress would be in the third position, poll pundits predict.
During the last Lok Sabha elections The BJP won with a landslide majority. It got over 48 per cent votes. AAP had then got 32 per cent votes and the Congress got 17 per cent. One hoped that these two parties would come together this time and snatch the seat away from the BJP. But, the two parties could not come together due to the row over seat sharing. Even if the two parties came together, it would still be a narrow win for the non-BJP candidate. Now that there is no alliance between the two, the BJP can manage to win this seat comfortably, say poll watchers.
