Will GVL Contest From Narasaraopet In 2024 Elections

Is BJPâs Rajya Sabha member and former spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao planning to contest from Narasaraopet Lok Sabha seat in the 2024 elections? It appears so. These days he is showing considerable interest in the affairs of Narasaraopet Lok Sabha constituency. He is talking about developing the constituency and has formed various Whatsapp groups for each of the assembly segments to interact with the people on a regular basis.
GVL, a native of Prakasam district, claims to have spent a major part of his youth in Narasaraopet. He claims that he had studied up to graduation in Narasaraopet. He says he wants to develop Narasaraopet regardless of party affiliations. He is also trying to develop contacts in all the assembly segments.
The calculation is that regardless of whether the BJP would be in alliance with any other party or not, Narasaraopet would be a safe bet for him because of the old connections. So, he is said to be cultivating the constituency from now on. He is of the opinion that the national leadership would ask Narasaraopet for the BJP in the event of an alliance with the TDP.
Currently a Rajya Sabha MP from the Uttar Pradesh quota, GVL wants to win direct elections this time and he has chosen Narasaraopet for that purpose. He is talking about the development of the Narasaraopet railway station, construction of the Krishi Vigyan Kendr and setting up of a branch of AIIMS, Mangalagiri in Narsaraopet. Through these developmental projects, he wants to ingratiate himself to the voters of Narasaraopet.
