By: Tupaki Desk | 5 Feb 2022 12:20 PM GMTThe employees protesting against the PRC issue is a burning issue in Andhra Pradesh. With the talks held by the government not yielding any fruitful outcome, the employees decided to go on a warpath to fight for their demands. The protesting employees want the PRC recommendations to be withdrawn.
As the employees are gearing up for the indefinite strike, the Andhra Pradesh government had invited the employees' unions for the talks to sort out the issues. The unexpected development made the issue interesting and now the ball is in the court of employees.
The PRC issue which was confined to Andhra Pradesh had attracted the attention of the national media after the massive success of the Chalo Vijayawada rally. As a next major step, the employees will hit the roads for an indefinite strike from tomorrow.
The prevailing tense situation as a result of the face-off between the employees and the Andhra Pradesh government had made everyone look into the past where a similar fight happened. With the state government employees displaying an adamant nature, the then Chief Minister had to bow to the employees.
Going into details, Telugu Desam Party founder Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, who scripted history as the first non-Congress Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh faced a similar situation when the employees protested against the PRC.
The protests went on for close to two months. As a victory to the protesting employees, the Chief Minister had changed his mind and gave his nod to the demands raised by the employees.
A Communist leader played a big role in sorting out the issue. He acted as a bridge between the Chief Minister and the employees. His valuable efforts had successfully pacified the angry employees and they have called off the protests.
As NTR, who is known for his strong nature had bowed to the angry employees, it is interesting to see what YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will do now. Will he follow the footsteps of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao or will he go ahead with his adamant nature? Only time can answer this. We have to wait and see.
