Will Jana Sena agree to TDPs proposals on seat-sharing?

Realising that its shutting out of the BJP and shunning of the Jana Sena turned out to be the worst political mistakes, the TDP is now desperately looking to befriend these two parties. While the BJP has shown its inclination to stay off the TDP, the only hope today is the Jana Sena. An alliance with the Jana Sena can help the TDP make a comeback, feel TDP sources.

The TDP has already opened a channel with the Jana Sena and some working arrangements have been made during the recent ZPTC and MPTC elections. In at least two places, they had a post-poll alliance to win the chairperson’s seat. But, it would be a different story altogether when it comes to the assembly elections of 2024.

The Jana Sena feels that Pawan Kalyan should be the CM candidate. In fact, Pawan Kalyan has several times said that he would set up his camp office in Kurnool after becoming the CM. Will the TDP accept this?

At the same time, how many seats will the TDP give the Jana Sena? In a recent interview, TDP biggie Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu said that the seat sharing would be decided on the basis of the results of 2019 elections. Going by that argument, the Jana Sena might get only 6.5 per cent of party seats, while the remaining will go ito the kitty of the TDP. Will Pawan agree to this arrangement? Let’s wait and see how this arrangement is worked out.
