Will KCR prove lucky in national politics?

That KCR is a great strategist is well known. He has succeeded where others failed. He knows how to succeed when others fear to tread. Where leaders like Chenna Reddy failed to realise the Telangana dream, KCR managed to realise the dream of Telangana. His strategies and tactics were hugely successful.
Similarly, not many politicians had won elections when they have gone for early polls. Even a seasoned politician like Chandrababu Naidu lost the elections when he went for early polls in 2004. But, KCR managed to not just scrape through but managed to win with a thumping majority. Now he is eyeing a key role in the national politics.
He is trying to form a third front. The regional parties are now coming together and might force the Congress to support the new formation. Though both Mamta Banerjee and Arvind Kejriwal are eyeing the PM post, KCR too is planning to throw his hat in the ring. Will KCR be able to achieve this seemingly impossible feat?
As of now, the odds are stacked against KCR. Mamta has 42 MP seats. If she can manage to win 40 seats, she would stake her claim for the seat. Kejriwal too is likely to win Punjab assembly and his stock too is likely to go up.
Given this, KCR has just 17 MP seats. As of now, he has only 9 of the 17 seats, Will this kind of strength, can he hope to become a PM candidate? Let’s wait and see how things pan out.
