Will Kesineni help TDP flag fly high in West Vijayawada?

Will Kesineni Nani achieve what no TDP leader has achieved so far? It appears Chandrababu has great confidence Kesineni Nani nad his organisational abilities. He has been made the incharge of the West Vijayawada assembly constituency bypassing the claims of the likes of Buddha Venkanna, Bonda Umamaheswara Rao and Nagul Meera.
Though these leaders are upset at the Chandrababu Naidu's decision, but Chandrababu appears to have taken a firm decision in this regard. West Vijayawada has never been a TDP citadel. It always returned non-TDP candidates. The last MLA from the party – Jaleel Khan – has actually won on the Congress ticket and later shifted to the TDP.
He could not contest in 2019 elections due to health reasons. His daughter does not have the persona or popularity to win the elections. Highly placed sources say that Chandrababu wanted to give the constituency incharge post to Kesineni's daughter Swetha, but felt that this could lead to unwanted controversies. So, he chose Kesineni Nani.
Sources say that Kesineni Swetha would be given the party ticket during the elections and that Kesineni would use his clout and personal popularity to ensure her victory. Kesineni is quite popular among the minorities in the older part of the city. It remains to be seen if the decision to make Kesineni incharge of the West Vijayawada city works out or not.
