Will Luck Smile On These Three Leaders?
By: Tupaki Desk | 28 Aug 2020 3:07 AM GMTThey were once considered very close to Telangana Chief Minister KCR. But, post their electoral defeats, they are completely inactive with no role in the party affair. They are Tummala Nageshwara Rao of Khammam, Chandulal Ajmera and jupally Krishna Rao of Kollapur. Today, future looks uncertain for these senior leaders.
Jupally was among the first few Congress leaders to resign the party and join the TRS, while KCR himself went to Tummala to invite him into the party. However, all the three leaders lost their elections and have been in limbo ever since. While Tummala and Chandulal remained largely silent, Jupally had actually raised a banner of revolt during the municipal elections. His faction got more tickets and defeated the candidates put up by current MLA who had jumped into the TRS from the Congress. But, KCR outwitted Jupally by winning the support of the independents to win the chairperson's post for the TRS.
All the three seniors are now said to be waiting for some kind of political rehabilitation. There are chances that Tummala could be made an MLC and then a minister. For Jupally and Chandulal, the wait is only getting longer.
