Will Nara Brahmani, wife of Lokesh Babu and daughter-in-law of Chandrababu Naidu, be made the next president of the Telangana TDP? Will this industrialist take to politics and lead the TDP in Telangana?
Speculations are rife that Chandrababu is mulling to make her the party chief in Telangana. The T Telangana's current president L Ramana has been in the post for six years. More importantly, he is not active in day-to-day politics. There are serous allegations that he is in cahoots with the ruling TRS. Hence ten out of 17 parliamentary constituency incharges have opposed him and wanted a change in the leadership.
Sources say that Chandrababu wants to bring his dashing daughter-in-law into active politics. Nara Brahmani is actor Balakrishna's daughter and is from NTR's lineage. She has proved herself to be an able industrialist and manager. Her presence will galvanise the woman voters and the youth in a big way, sources say. Hence, Chandrababu is said to be seriously thinking of making her the party president in Telangana.
Sources also say that in the event of Brahmani not taking up the job, Nandamuri Harikrishna's daughter Suhasini's name is also being considered. Suhasini contested from Kukatpally assembly constituency in the 2018 elections and lost to the TRS.
