Will New Secretariat Be Completed In One Year?
By: Tupaki Desk | 20 July 2020 9:15 AM ISTTelangana Chief Minister will make one historic visit to the secretariat. Everyone knows that Vastu fears have kept KCR away from the secretariat all these years. He is going to visit the complex only after the all the blockes of the secretariat are reduced to rubble. Thus, KCR has lived up to his word of not visiting the secretariat as long as the present building stands.
But, the question is when the construction of the new secretariat building will be completed. TRS sources say that KCR will hold a key meeting of the officials on Tuesday to decide the nitty gritty of the proposals. He will also likely put forth the ideas about various models for the new secretariat. Sources say that KCR wants this building to stand as a living testimony to the glorious past of the Telangana region. If sources are to be believed, KCR wants the works to begin in the month of Sravana, which begins from July 21 and wants the construction to be completed by June 2, the Telangana formation day.
The meeting would be attended by Minister for Roads and Buildings Prashant Reddy, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar and other key officials. So expect regular and continuous monitoring of the progress of the project. One only hopes that these works progress like those of Kaleshwaram and not Yadadri. While Kaleshwaram works are going on at breakneck speed, the Yadadri works are still sluggish.
