Will not take back CAA: BJP MP

BJP national spokesperson and MP GVL Narsimha Rao said that the Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019 (CAA-2019) is related to foreigners and it has nothing to do with the Indian citizens.
The leader was speaking at an 'Intellectuals Meet' organised by the BJP State unit on the Citizen Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizen (NRC) in Hyderabad on Sunday. Addressing the gathering, he criticised the Congress party for sharing views with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf with regard to the CAA and NRC and he made it clear that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not take back the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
The Act passed by both parliamentary houses in the Winter session amends the Citizenship Act 1955 to make refugees who are Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis and Christians from Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan, eligible for citizenship.
