What's behind Pawan Kalyan's latest stratagem of calling the Kammas most oppressed by the YSRCP regime. He even went on to term the Kamma community as the inveterate foe of the YSRCP. Sources say Pawan has his own calculations to say that.
The fact is Kammas are a progressive, enterprising and politically active community. Initially, they latched on to the Communist bandwagon. Later, they formed the bedrock of the TDP. During the Chandrababu regime, they enjoyed every benefit. Even the TDP today would not say that the Kammas were a deprived lot. But, Pawan Kalyan is not just saying it, he is even claiming that Kammas were like the Kashmiri Hindu pundits.
True the Kammas are feeling adrift as Chandrababu is ageing and Lokesh has failed to prove his worth. At such a time, Pawan is trying to capitalise on their fears and is asking them to rally around him. His formula is simple. Kammas plus Kapus will make a formidable combo and can unseat the YSRCP. But the question is – will Kammas fall for Pawan’s bait?
