Will Queen Regain Her Power?

Sunitha Lakshma Reddy has a glorious past, but will she have an equally shining political future? This is the question that is being asked in Medak political circles these days. Sunitha Lakshma Reddy was Medak DCC president for years and was a three-time MLA. She had served as a minister under three Congress CMs. But since 2014, she has been on the losing side. She lost the elections in 2014 and 2018. Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, she had joined the TRS.
But, within the TRS, she is unable to regain her past glory. In both 2014 and 2018, Ch Madan Reddy had won from Narsapur constituency, which Sunitha Laxma Reddy considers is her own. She is now trying to retain her followers from the Congress and is said to be trying to wean away Madan Reddy’s supporters. Her supporters are claiming that KCR would give the party ticket to her in the 2023 elections.
But, this is being contested by the supporters of Madan Reddy. As of now, a tug of war is on in Narsapur assembly constituency. It remains to be seen whether these two strong political families reconcile or rival one another.
