Will Rajagopal Reddy mar elder brother's chances?

True to his words, senior Congress leader and sitting MLC Komatireddy Rajagopala Reddy has confirmed that he is going to join the BJP sooner than later. On a visit to Tirumala, Reddy said that he will join the BJP soon.
Ever since he got elected as an MLC, Rajagopal Reddy has been singing pro-BJP mantra. He had on several occasions said that only BJP has the power and the resolve to take on KCR and his TRS. He said that the BJP will be an alternative to the TRS. He had also time and again said that he would join the BJP at the opportune time.
He has taken the plunge at a time when his elder brother Komatireddy Venkata Reddy is doing a hard bargain to emerge as the president of the Telangana PCC. He is lobbying hard in the national leadership and has been camping in Delhi for the purpose. Coming as it is at such a time, Rajagopal Reddy's decision could mar Venkat Reddy's chances.
Komatireddys are a powerful political family and have registered victories from Nalgonda district regardless of the wave in the state. Rajagopal Reddy's decision to join the BJP could hit the prospects of the Congress party in Nalgonda district.
