Will Regional Parties walk with KCR to take on BJP?
By: Tupaki Desk | 16 Feb 2022 7:33 AM GMTAlmost after around two years of announcing big dreams of entering national politics, Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao is working on the same and playing his cards right to get support from various corners. As a big step, KCR is all set to meet like-minded leaders in one-on-one meetings.
To take on a Central party that is in power in many states is not an easy task and for that one needs to get overall support from other parties as well. Keeping this in mind, KCR announced his schedule to meet the Chief Ministers of Maharashtra, West Bengal, and Tamil Nadu in an order.
KCR is all set to meet Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and then the two Chief Ministers. Making his stand clear that he is aiming for the big dream and wants to foray into the national elections, KCR is also targeting the Union government in every press meet.
While KCR is crystal clear on his target and wants to go ahead to reach his goal, it is interesting to see if the other Southern leaders will join hands with him or not. Though other leaders from the South are also not happy with the BJP leadership and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we have to wait and see what the other leaders have in mind.
The likes of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and former Prime Minister Deve Gowda have already dialed KCR to support him in this regard. If the other leaders like Uddhav Thackeray and ML Stalin also join hands then KCR can have a cakewalk.
As BJP has been accused of indulging in communal politics, several parties are raising their voices against this and H. D. Deve Gowda's Janata Dal (Secular) also objected to the BJP's policy and Mr. Gowda had called KCR hinting at his support.
If the anti-BJP stand of the regional parties and politicians and the support translates into the support of KCR then he can be a deciding factor in the national politics and can pull off a rare stunt that no other regional politician had managed to do in recent times.
