Hollywood star Will Smith decided to boycott Academy Awards this year following the discrimination towards the blacks.
For the second year in a row, Around 20 major nominations for Oscars are white-skinned celebs. Many believed Will Smith would be nominated for his remarkable performance in the movie 'Concussion' but that didn't happen.
Smith's wife & actress Jade Pinkett expressed her displeasure over the discrimination on social media and declared she would be skipping this year's Oscars. Soon, Even Smith came in support of his wife and took the call not to grace the prestigious awards ceremony. He commented, 'We hold a position in this community, and if we aren't part of a solution, we are part of a problem'.
Earlier, Will Smith was nominated for Oscars twice. He, however, feels this year's nominations lacked the diversity.
