Will Teegala Krishna Reddy Upset TRS Apple-Cart

The ruling TRS went into a tizzy on Friday after there were strong rumours that Maheshwaram former MLA Teegala Krishna Reddy was planning to join the BJP. The TRS leaders went into hyperactive mode and held several meetings with Teegala to sort out the issue.
Teegala, who was the former mayor while he was in the TDP, was sulking for quite some time. He was unhappy that his associates and followers were not being given any importance in the TRS. He was also unhappy that Sabitha Indra Reddy, who defeated him in 2018 elections, was not only welcomed into the TRS, but was also made a minister. This has effectively reduced his importance in the party and his followers are being sidelined. All the plum posts in Maheshwaram are going to Sabitha Indra Reddy's followers, he is said to have complained.
Once he let the TRS bosses know his displeasure and his plans to join BJP, the TRS leaders went rushing to him. Minister Malla Reddy has gone over to Teegala's residence and held parleys for over two hours. However, Teegala appeared firm on leaving the TRS. Later, the mediators organised a meeting of Teegala with no less a person than CM KCR for Saturday.
Teegala is likely to announce his decision after his meeting with KCR. If he joins the BJP, it would be a big boost for the saffron party as Teegala has a large number of followers in the constituencies on the outskirts of GHMC. .
