Will This MLA Bring Down Karnataka Government?
By: Tupaki Desk | 30 May 2020 5:45 AM GMTPolitics have hotted up once again in Karnataka. BJP MLA Umesh Katti held a secret meeting of some of his MLAs and CM Yeddiyurappa promptly called him for talks on Friday. This has led to the tongues wagging and people whispering about the future of the BJP government.
Umesh Katti is an eternal dissident and is not known to enjoy best of relations with Yeddiyurappa. However, when Yeddiyurappa called him, he promptly went to the CM's residence and later addressed the media. While he said that there were no politics in the meet held at his home, several Yeddiyurappa supporters like MP Renukacharya said there was no threat to Yeddiyurappa government. The MLAs, who met at Umesh Kathi's residence said they were not dissidents and there was no question of splitting the BJP.
But, wily Yeddiyurappa, who is known for his mercurial moves, is leaving nothing to chance. He has already spoken to all the MLAs who gathered at Umesh Kathi's residence. Minister BC Patel too has said that there was no threat to the BJP government in Karnataka.
