Will YSRCP replace this assembly constituency incharge?

The ruling YSRCP is facing a huge problem in the Vizag West Assembly constituency. The source of the whole problem is none other than the party's chosen constituency incharge.
Former MLA Malla Vijaya Prasad, who is the constituency incharge for Vizag West is not being seen in the constituency. The party's rank and file have no one to go to in the constituency as Malla Vijaya Prasad spends more time outside the constituency.
Malla Vijaya Prasad was a Congress MLA in 2009. Malla Joined the YSRCP in 2014. But, he could not get the party ticket in 2014. In 2019, he was given the party ticket to contest from Vizag West. But, he lost to TDP's Ganababu. The YSRCP later made him the constituency incharge for Vizag West.
He is currently the chairperson of the AP Educational Infrastructure Development Corporation. This requires his presence in Tadepalli and this is said to be one of the reasons for his continued absence from Vizag West. But, those in the know say that there are other reasons for his absence from Vizag West.
Malla's company Welfare Group runs chit fund groups and this group has run into a lot of problems in both Vizag, North Andhra as well as Odisha. The Odisha police have even arrested him in connection with the irregularities in the chit fund transactions. Since then, the former MLA has been absent from the constituency.
The YSRCP is seriously considering removing him from the post and replacing him with a dynamic leader. Since the constituency is dominated by Turpu Kapu and Gavara communities, the incharge has to be chosen from one of these communities. The names of Dadi Ratnakar, Adari Anand and Kasi Viswanath are doing the rounds. It remains to be seen if the party choses anyone from these three names.
