Spoiling the festival week mood, the United States was hit very hard by a winter storm. Many states in the country are seeing snow squalls and everything came to a standstill in many regions. There was snow all over the road and many vehicles were frozen.

The winter storm is very ferocious and it left many freezing to death. The rescue teams which received information that many victims froze to death started an operation to look for the dead bodies in the vehicles parked on the roads.

As per the media reports, the rescue teams are searching for bodies by searching every vehicle to see if there is anyone inside. The vehicles which are parked along the sides of the roads are being searched by the emergency personnel.

New York State is dealing with a big crisis as a majority of the residents are trapped in cars. The state has not seen such a worst winter storm in its history as per the authorities. The officials said that they had not seen any storm which created a ruckus.

An emergency-like situation came into existence in New York state. The meteorologists said that a few regions might see a storm. Around 56 people passed away in the mishap as of now and the death toll is likely to be increased.

The local American media said that the winter storm resulted in the roads seeing thick snow of around 43 inches. The rescue teams are busy looking for the victims who might be trapped in the snow. In particular, Buffalo city is facing a disaster-like situation.

The locals said that what they saw in the recent winter storm is worse than what they went through after the 1977 winter storm. Listing out the issues they are facing, the locals said that the temperature is over 37 degrees now and they are trapped in a tough situation.

Knowing about the Winter Storm in New York State, United States President Joe Biden called Governor Kathy Hochul and offered the best help in dealing with the situation and helping the victims to be safe.

Governor urged everyone to not come out and stay inside as a safety measure. Requesting everyone to not take the situation for granted she said the same. “The storm is weakening, but we are not out of the woods yet. Do not take a chance. Stay home, stay off the roads, and stay safe,” Governor said.
