With A Spike of 48,648 New Infections, India's Caseload Rose To 80,88,851

In the last 24 hours, as many as 563 patients have breathed their last battling the virus, while a total of 1,21,090 patients have succumbed to the respiratory disease so far.
On a brighter note, a total of 73,73,375 patients have been recovered so far, including 57,386 patients being cured in the past 24 hours. The active cases stood at 5,94,386.
Post-September, India managed to bring down the fresh pandemic infections, while the recoveries are surging daily. In September, India witnessed the peak of the virus.
Looking at the samples tested in the country, a mammoth 10,77,28,088 samples have been tested as of the 29th of October, while 11,64,648 samples were tested on Thursday alone.
Telangana reported 1,531 fresh Coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 2,37,187. While 2,17,401 patients have been recovered so far, the active cases stood at 18,456.
Fellow Telugu State Andhra Pradesh reported 2905 new cases on Thursday, which pushes the total toll of cases to 817679. The recovered cases and active cases stood at 784752 and 26268 respectively.
According to the information collected by the Johns Hopkins University, the global toll of Covid-19 infections mounted to 45,312,762, while 1,185,733 patients have succumbed to the virus.
