World Cup Final Controversy: ICC President walks out!
X
Irked for denying the opportunity to present the trophy to the winning team, International Cricket Council (ICC) President Mustafa Kamal on Sunday left the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) even before the completion of World Cup 2015 final between Australia and New Zealand.

ICC Chairman N Srinivasan handed the World Cup 2015 trophy to Australian skipper Michael Clarke. ICC CEO Dave Richardson, World Cup 2015 Brand Ambassador Sachin Tendulkar and Cricket Australia head Wally Edwards shared the dais during the presentation.

Sources say, N Srinivasan is furious after Mustafa Kamal complained of 'umpiring bias' during the India-Bangladesh quarter final in Melbourne. Rohit Sharma was caught in Rubel Hossain's bowling but the Empire declared it as waist-height no-ball even though its a fair delivery.

It was during the ICC Meeting on Saturday, ICC President Mustafa Kamal was informed that he won't be allowed to hand over the World Cup 2015 trophy. Miffed with the development, Kamal didn't even sit in the ICC Hospitality Box during the final and left the venue as he felt its an insult to his position. His tenure as ICC President will end within 3 months.
