American internet entrepreneur, industrialist, media proprietor Jeff Bezos, who has founded the leading E-commerce company Amazon is the richest man in the world currently.
A recent survey has found out that the world's richest man also has the biggest heart. He made the largest charitable donation in the last year 2020, on many occasions.
According to The Chronicle of Philanthropy's annual list of the top donations made during the last year, the Amazon founder has donated a whopping $10 billion to support the cause of fighting climate change.
Through his Bezos Earth Fund, he has launched to support to fight climate change, he has donated $790 million to 16 non-profit organizations that work for the same cause.
The surprising part is that the other top ten donations made by other people in the past year were just $2.6 billion. The amount is said to be the lowest donations received since 2011.
Looking at the other donations made, Phil Knight and his wife take the next positions. They have donated over $900 million to the Knight Foundation and $300 million to the University of Oregon.
Despite the Coronavirus pandemic outbreak, Jeff Bezos managed to increase his wealth. In the last year, his wealth went up by more than 60 percent between 18 to December 7.
