Would-be in-laws Forced For Dowry; Girl Techie Ends Life

A 22-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide after parents of her boyfriend, with whom she was in love demanded dowry to marry her.The incident took place in Bodduvanipalem village, Korisapadu mandal of Prakasam district
The victim, Komali is working in Bangalore as software engineer and she was in love with her childhood friend Venkatesh Prasad. Venkatesh recently secured a job in the Bangalore and both decided to get marry. However, when the proposal reached to Venkatesh's parents they demanded huge dowry.
Let down by the demand for dowry, Komali committed suicide at her home and She died at a nearby hospital. Komali came to spend her Dasara vacation. Case has been registered and police said that no one has been arrested so far in connection with the offense.
