Xiaomi Phones to be manufactured in AP

Reportedly, Foxconn will manufacture 10,000 phones of Xiaomi per day at the Sri City unit. The Company decided to move to AP after it shutdown its third and last plant at Tamil Nadu in February this year.
Foxconn Technology Group manufacurers Apple iPhones and iPads, Amazon's Kindles and also products of Microsoft, Cisco and Dell at its other plants. It have plants to set up at least 10 manufacturing plants in India within the next 5 years with investment of Rs 12,700 crore and each of them will create employment to 10,000 people. The Taiwan-based company made it clear in its recent statement that India is its top priority and its in talks with several state governments including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh.
