Great anti-Climax: Yadadri fete become insipid affair without Jeeyar, Modi
By: Tupaki Desk | 19 March 2022 1:05 PM GMTIt seems to be a classic anti-climax. After years of hard work, continuous monitoring and high profile visits, the actual inauguration of the redesigned Yadadri temple is set to turn into a tame affair. Considered KCR's pet project, Yadadri could have become a political weapon for 2023 elections. The re-consecration could have been a major event that could have boosted KCR's opinion.
One felt that Jeeyar Swamy would be there to bless KCR and that Prime Minister Modi would grace the occasion. In fact, KCR had personally med Modi in the past and invited him to attend the Yadadri ceremony. However, relations with the PM soured after that. Now, KCR is not even thinking in terms of inviting Modi. Meanwhile, his relations with Jeeyar also worsened.
Now the inauguration is going to be a tame affair, with neither jeeyar nor Modi attending. The temple would not get a national profile which would have benefited the temple and brought a good name to KCR. KCR would have earned the good will that he had invited Modi despite the political differences.
As a result, the temple's festival would be a purely local affair, with only local media talking about it. Many feel that this was quite an anti-climax for a temple of such great repute, history and importance. Many feel that all the hard work done for Yadadri has in a way gone waste.
