YCP MLA arrested for obstructing Govt officials

After MP Mithun Reddy now another YSRCP leader got arrested. YSRCP Narasaraopet MLA Dr Gopireddy Srinivasa Reddy was arrested by cops today afternoon. He was taken into custody for allegedly preventing government officials from discharging their duties on Monday.
Srinivas Reddy staged a dharna at the tehsildar's office in support of the farmers, who were losing the lands due to road construction in Narsaraopet. The MLA not stopped the protests after repeated requests from the revenue officials. Based on a complaint lodged by Tahasildar Rajaratnam, the police arrested the MLA and shifted him to police station.
The police registered a non-bailable case against the MLA for obstructing a government servant from discharging his duty. A large number of party workers staged dharna in front of the police station protesting against the arrest of their MLA.
