Tirupati bypoll: Yellow Media Is After YS Jagan Again
By: Tupaki Desk | 11 April 2021 12:29 PM GMTDespite losing local body election after local body election, the TDP still has one field where it clearly dominates the ruling YSRCP. This field is the media field. The Telugu media still is largely dominated by pro-TDP elements and media owners who have political interests in TDP are still trying to peddle narratives against the YSRCP.
So, when AP CM and YSRCP supremo YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced that he would address a public meeting in Tirupati in support of YSRCP candidate Dr Gurumurthy in the upcoming bypoll for the Lok sabha seat, the so-called "yellow media" began peddling the narrative that the YSRCP is unsure of its victory and hence is pitting YS Jagan into the campaign. They began writing fake news reports claiming that the going for the YSRCP is tough and that both the TDP and the BJP-Jana Sena are becoming increasingly strong. Now YS Jagan has announced that he would not campaign in Tirupati due to Corona and added that the party would get more votes than it polled in the 2019 election.
If you thought that the yellow media is silenced, think again. This section of media is now writing stories that say that Jagan is withdrawing from the campaign as he knows that the YSRCP would be defeated. The only way to defeat the "yellow media" is to win the Tirupati bypoll, say YSRCP supporters.
