The political picture in India changed massively after the 2014 Lok Sabha polls. The Bharatiya Janata Party crushed the grand old Congress party and emerged victorious. In the last nine years, things changed for the party and it became very strong in many regions.

Uttar Pradesh needs a special mention here. The state which is a strong zone of the party became its fortress. The party won two back-to-back elections in Uttar Pradesh. The specialty of the elections is that no other party managed to achieve it in the past three and half decades.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath played a big role in this. His career started as an MP. He ventured into politics and became the MP from Gorakhpur. He is the Mahant(head priest) of the famous Gorakhnath Math, which played a big role in the Ayodhya movement. Irrespective of religion, people like Yogi Adityanath and he wins the elections there.

Despite not coming from BJP or RSS, Yogi Adityanath was made the Chief Minister given his popularity. All of a sudden, he was made the Chief Minister face. After coming to power Yogi started focusing on inviting investments to the state.

Yogi Adityanath now made a record for longest serving Chief Minister. He finished 5 years, 347 days in the Chief Minister's office that too unbroken. No other Chief Minister had managed to do that. 5 years and 345 days was the previous longest. Dr. Sampurnanand of Congress held the office. Now Yogi Adityanath broke the award.

His way of dealing with riots earned him a big image. Yogi Adityanath started the trend of using bulldozers. Rioters who damage public properties will face bulldozers at their doorstep. Their properties will be bulldozed and sold. The money will be used to repair public properties.

On the other hand, Yogi Aditynath is also changing the names of cities and places after Hindu names. Allahabad was made Prayagraj and Faizabad was named Ayodhya. Now the Ram Mandir construction is going on at a good pace and the temple will be opened to the public from the 1st of January in 2024 as per the government.
