Deadline for old Notes extended till Nov 24th

In a major relief to the citizens, Government of India Today extended the deadline for usage of old notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 denominations for playing utility bills till November 24th midnight.
Economic Affairs Secretary confirms extension of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes for certain categories till November 24th midnight.
Actually, Exemption given to use old currency for paying at petrol pumps, Government hospitals, rail & airline tickets, public transport, milk booths, crematoriam/burial grounds, metro rail tickets, medicines on doctor prescription, LPG Gas Cylinders, Toll gate tickets and taxes will end by November 14th.
Government, however, extended the deadline for 10 more days in view of the growing demand from public.
