Just In: YS Jagan arrested

YSRC Party chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was arrested just while in the capital. The opposition who launched protest at Jantar Mantar demanding special status was arrested by the Delhi police on charges of disrupting the traffic and public order in the Capital
Jagan was arrested while leading a march from Jantar Mantar to the Assembly. Police had to forcibly take Jagan in their vehicle. The YSR Congress has criticised the BJP for backtracking on its promise of giving special category status to Andhra Pradesh.
Botcha Satyanarayana was also taken into custody along with Jagan. Communist Party of India (Marxist) has extended its full support to the struggle launched by Jagan.CPI (M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury visited Jantar Mantar in New Delhi where the YSR Congress staged a day-long dharna.Meanwhile an AP bandh has been declared on August 28 by the YSRC party leader.
