Teen Commits Suicide For AP Special Status

Mahendra, a 14-Year-Old Student hailing from Jaladurgam Village in Kurnool District, committed suicide upset over his Elder Brother failing to get a job. He mentioned in the suicide note that his Brother would have got a job had if Special Category Status was accorded to AP. He demanded implementation of the promise made by then PM Manmohan Singh in Parliament.
YCP Chief YS Jagan expressed shock and grief over the suicide of 14-Year-Old fearing a jobless future due to denial of Special Category Status. He urged people not to resort to extreme steps but to join the movement for achieving the goal.
AP Congress Chief Raghuveera Reddy handed over Rs 3 lakh to the family of the deceased boy. He demanded AP Government to offer an ex-gratia of Rs 20 lakh and Government Job to the Teenager's Elder Brother.
