YS Jagan kickstarts indefinite fast in jail
By: Tupaki Desk | 25 Aug 2013 3:58 PM GMTYSR Congress chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Sunday sat on fast-unto-death in the Chanchalguda Central prison opposing the division of state. The fast began with the Kadapa MP refusing to have tea and breakfast this morning.
Jail Officials, however, said Jagan hasn't sought any permission from them for the fast. They even warned the MP that mulaqats will be cancelled and he will also be losing privileges he enjoys as a special class prisoner if he continues the fast. But, Yuva Neta is reluctant to give up the fast until the bifurcation process is stalled.
Jagan submitted his resignation to Lok Sabha against the CWC announcement on July 30th. All the 17 YSRC MLAs and other MP Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy too resigned protesting the manner in which ruling party has dealt a sensitive issue like Telangana.
