AP Government Extends YSR Journalist Bheema Scheme For One More Year

The government issued orders stating that the Bheema will be extended for the year 2020-21 under the YSR Journalist Bheema along with the funds to facilitate the insurance covers for the working journalists.
For 21,000 beneficiaries working journalists across Print, Electronic and web media the government allocated additional funds of Rs 42.63 lakh
Under the Bheema coverage, if any Journalist loses their lives by accident, Bheema amount of Rs 10 lakh will be given to his/her family members as part of YSR Journalist Bheema, which was formally Samagra Bheema policy.
The government's decision to extend the policy received praises from various sections as currently, the journalists are working vigorously to report the Coronavirus situation across the state.
