Controversy on Jagan holy dip with Cross
By: Tupaki Desk | 16 July 2015 8:04 PM ISTYSRCP chief and opposition leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday performed Pinda Pradanam (afterlife ritual for the departed ancestors) at Godavari Ghat in Kovvur of West Godavari district.
He performed the ritual under the guidance of the priests and he has taken holy dip in Godavari river yesterday. However, his dip has stoked as much a controversy now as Jagan took a dip wearing a cross hanging around his neck .
This has led to a controversy on the social media and Social media circles are flaying Jagan. While supporters on YSRC's official page claimed that Mr Reddy was a Hindu since he took part in a Hindu festival, others pointed out his mother, Ms Y.S. Vijayamma, carried a Bible during electioneering.
Meanwhile YSRCP's official FB page commented that Jagan has freedom of religion and said anti's are mounting criticism against him.
