YSR Congress chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy realised that Kapu community has distanced themselves from his party. He feels this will be affecting the winning prospects of YSRC in 80 Assembly and 14 Parliament constituencies in 2014 polls.
Hence, Jagan directed party seniors Ummareddy Venkateswarulu and Jyothila Nehru to work towards attracting Kapu leaders into YSRC. Focus will be mostly on East and West Godavari district where the density of Kapu population is high.
YSRC leadership has identified 20 influential in Kapu community and trying to attract them with several packages. Talks with Narsapuram sitting MLA Kottapalli Subbarayudu have been continuing and the official entry might happen to 2-3 days.
