YS Jagan To Launch YSR Bheema Scheme Today, 1.41 cr Beneficiaries To Benefit

CM Jagan will launch the YSR Bheema scheme, one of the flag bearer schemes of the state government. The scheme costs Rs 583.50 crore per year will benefit 1.41crore beneficiaries. The scheme applies to the white ration cardholders only.
The YSR Bheema aims to help the families of the unorganized workers in case of death or accidents. The workers between the age of 18 to 70 years are eligible for the scheme.
The beneficiaries(18 to 70 years)will receive a sum of Rs 2 lakhs if it's a natural death. The nominee and beneficiaries between the age group of 51 to 70 will get a compensation of Rs 5lakhs for accidental death or disability.
The Village volunteers would conduct a door to door survey and prepare a list of beneficiaries. The Secretary of Welfare in the Secretariat will supervise the list prepared by volunteers.
The beneficiaries should receive the insurance within 15 days of the claim. The amount will be directly deposited in the bank accounts. To raise any complaints about Enrolling or Claim Payment the beneficiaries should contact the PR DRDA.
