North American Telugu Association(NATA) has been doing an impressive job for the Telugu community in the US. Every Year events are held to bring everyone under one roof. Over the decades, the body has been conducting various cultural events.

The NATA 2023 event will be a special one as none other than Andhra Pradesh Chief Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy sent a message to the organization. In his message that was played at NATA, Jagan wished each and every person who attended the event. The AP CM also extended his wishes to the NATA committee. Jagan specially mentioned Sridhar,Anil and Prema Sagar in his address.

Jagan fondly recalled his memories with NATA and said that he received a warm welcome when he went to Dallas four years back and he cannot forget the love and affection he received. He said that he feels very happy that they are safeguarding the customs and traditions of Telugu despite living in another country.

Showering praises on the Telugu community, Jagan said that they hold big positions like CEOs of big companies, IT experts, NASA Scientists and they even hold positions in the American government.

Jagan said that most of their roots are from our villages and soil and despite having humble backgrounds they reached top positions in their respective fields and the vigorous commitment and focus helped them reach where they are now.

Drawing a comparison between them and the kids in the state, Jagan said that they have the same commitment and focus and they want to reach the sky. Seeing this, I wanted to provide them with the facilities that help them in achieving their dreams.

Education is the key for the dream of becoming global citizens. For this the face of the schools is being changed. Under the Naadu Nedu program, the facilities in the schools are changed. Government students are given tabs in the 8th class. From 3rd standard,we are appointing subject students. Interactive Flat panels are equipped to offer digital education from 6th class.

Jagan shed light on the welfare schemes the government has been implementing like Amma Vodi, Goru Mudda and others. Under Village Secretariat all the services are brought under one roof.

We are giving high preference to the health and medical system. To offer prevention care Village clinics were brought in every village and the family doctor concept was also introduced. Thousands of posts are filled in the health sector alone. Under the Naadu Nedu program, PHCs, Village clinics, area hospitals and district hospitals are uplifted.

Our students are reading bilingual textbooks. English is key for our students to grow as global citizens. It is a bridge to study Engineering, Arts or any subject for that matter.

Talking about the infrastructure, Jagan said that harbors, ports and Airports are being revamped. In 75 years of Independence we have had 6 ports in four locations. Now 4 more ports are being constructed. 20 shipping harbors are in construction stage,he said

After explaining what his government has been doing over the years, Jagan urged the Telugu community there to be a part of the development and make the best of the experience they had developed as they are living in western world.
