YS Sharmila Gets Support From Unexpected Quarters

Contrary to the expectation that YS Sharmila's attempt to re-enter Telangana politics would end up as a damp squib, she is becoming a centre of attraction. A large number of political leaders and workers from various parties are flocking to the Lotus Pond these days.
A large number of leaders, who had worked for the YSRCP in the past, have later joined various parties after the 2014 elections. YS Jagan's decision to almost disband the party in Telangana has forced them to look for avenues elsewhere. Many of these leaders are now coming back to meet YS Sharmila. They are also recalling their association with the party and are expressing their support to YS Sharmila's attempts to form a new political party in Telangana. On Thursday, a large number of workers from Uppal went and met her.
On her part, Sharmila is busy holding hectic parleys with workers and leaders. On Thursday, she had a series of meetings. Several supporters trooped to the Lotus Pond residence and shouted slogans in support of Sharmila.
