YSR Congress boycotts Assembly Sessions

YSR Congress party boycotted the Winter Session of Assembly citing the suspension against MLA RK Roja for one year and no full-fledged discussion on the call money issue.
Soon after the proceedings began on Monday, YCP President YS Jaganmohan Reddy appealed Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad Rao to reconsider the suspension against Roja. Stating that suspension was against the rules, The Opposition Leader informed that YCP will be boycotting the whole Winter Session if it wasn't revoked.
Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu made it clear there is no need to reconsider the suspension against Roja as the remarks made by her in Assembly were objectionable. 'Its not fair on Jagan's part to say Speaker don't have the powers to suspend a Public Representative from the House. Opposition is free to approach Court in this matter,' he told.
Speaker Kodela explained to Main Opposition that there is a specific procedure to seek revoking of suspension against a member. He questioned, 'How can YSRC say Speaker don't have powers to suspend a Member & Suspension is against the norms?'.
