Has YCP Fallen In TDPs Trap?
X
YSR Congress is yet to finalize candidates for 20 out of 25 Lok Sabha Constituencies in Andhra Pradesh. Praja Sankalpa Yatra fetched good mileage for YCP. Choosing the right candidates is most crucial thing to do to capitalize on the mood of the public. In such a situation, Over-Confidence on the victory could prove costly and that's what happened in the 2014 Elections. There is a feeling among public that YCP has fallen in the trap set by TDP.

Prior to the 2014 Elections, All the surveys predicted the victory of YSR Congress Party. YCP Leaders assumed nothing could stop them from forming the government. In the end, The results had gone against YSRC and everything changed in the last few days.

YCP Leadership is yet to find strong candidates for majority of the Lok Sabha Segments. This include Anantapur, Hindupur, Chittoor, Guntur, Narsarapeta, Bapatla, Machilipatnam, Eluru, Narsipatnam, Amalapuram, Kakinada, Vizag, Anakapalli, Araku, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam. All the five YCP MPs who resigned for Special Status could contest again from the same constituencies. What about rest of the 20 Segments?

On the other hand, TDP have Sitting MPs and those MPs who defected from YCP to contest in the next elections.

Favourable Survey Results alone can't fetch victory for any party. YCP should speed-up the process of identifying the MP Candidates for better results.
