Will YSRCP Bus Yatra boomerang like : Gadapa Gadapaku?

The Ministers of the YSRCP Government are all set to undertake a bus tour of the key areas of the state. The thrust of the bus yatra is to highlight the

YSRCP's emphasis on social justice. The idea is to tell the people that it has 17 ministers from the BC, SC, ST and Minority categories. The YSRCP wants to drive home the point that this is the largest contingent yet from these communities.

The Yatra will begin from Srikakulam on May 26. The Yatra would start from the Seven Roads Junction in Srikakulam. It would cover all the nearby constituencies and reach Vizianagaram by evening. There would be a public meeting in Vizianagaram in the night. The duty of mobilising crowds for the public meeting has been given to the local elected people's representatives.

The YSRCP top leadership has also told all the MLAs and ministers to take part in the yatra and make it a success. The party headquarters would monitor the progress of the yatra and the attendance at the public meetings.

But, the YSRCP leaders at the local level are worried about whether the programme would be a success or not. The reason is the complete failure of the Gadapa Gadapaku programme. At various places, the response was lukewarm and in yet other places, the ministers and the MLAs had to run away as the people began posing tough questions.

Many in the party feel that the yatra is being organised at the wrong timing. The people could ask questions about why the State Government was not reducing the taxes on the petroleum products. Also, the issue of power outages too is likely to figure. How will the leaders cope with these questions remains to be seen.
