YSRCP leaders revolt against minister Ushasri

Dissidence is gathering storm against minister Ushasri Charan in her constituency of Kalyandurg. Several key YSRCP leaders have raised a banner of revolt against her. They have told the party leadership point-blank that they would not work for the party if it renominates Ushasri Charan from Kalyandurg constituency.
Over 100 senior YSRCP leaders recently met at the residence of state YSRCP secretary Tippeswamy and vowed to defeat her in the next elections. They said that she has done nothing for the constituency and was ignoring the loyal party workers who toiled day and night to ensure the victory of the party in the last elections.
Usha Sricharan has been mired in one controversy after another. Initially, some funders alleged that she was not returning the amounts she took from them at the time of the elections. They said that she had taken money from them to fund her elections. They even staged a dharna in front of the minister's house. In addition, there are allegations of land grab by the minister and her family members.
Ushasri Charan was the state secretary of the TDP women's unit before joining the YSRCP. Many in the constituency consider her an outsider. There is a general feeling among the rank and file in the Kalyandurg YSRCP that she has ignored the sincere party workers after she became the minister. Hence they have vowed to defeat her if she is given the party ticket again.
