YSRCP Local Leadership To Go After Pro-TDP Volunteers?
X
It's been around four years since the ruling of YSRCP started in Andhra Pradesh. The Party led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy recorded a landslide victory in the 2019 general elections. The voters and government employers supported the party hoping that Jagan would develop the state that was divided without proper capital.

But there is no significant development in the case. On top of this, the ruling party is facing allegations that the government is doing vendetta politics and targeting the opposition parties and leaders. Those who oppose the government were handled in a tough manner. We have seen this in the case of former CEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar.

He was sacked from the position by reducing his tenure and he waged a big war to get his post back. A.B. Venkateswara Rao, former Intelligence chief of Andhra Pradesh is yet to get a post. He was removed saying that he is involved in many wrongdoings.

To implement and take the fruits of the welfare schemes to the beneficiaries, YSRCP started a new system called Volunteers. They supply things to people and they came in handy when Covid was hit as they visited every house and gathered information.

However, there is a criticism that the Volunteer system is working as the agent of the ruling party and the Volunteers have the data of people who support which party, and based on that some might not get the welfare schemes.

Now the YCP is hinting that it would go after the pro-TDP volunteers and remove them from the posts. A ruling party MLA alleged that volunteers who are in support of TDP would be removed.

YCP Mylavaram MLA, Vasantha Krishna Prasad is said to have said that volunteers who are favouring the TDP should change their stand or else they will have to face the consequences. He alleged that the local leadership would identify such volunteers.
